Ankur Bhatt is vice president and chief information officer at Brookings. Bhatt is an experienced technology executive driving innovative solutions through strategic visioning, collaborative partnerships, and result driven leadership. He is a proven leader with over 17 years of experience in planning, designing, and deploying IT strategies while providing broad-based perspectives derived through experiences with the world’s leading technology organizations.
As chief information officer for Brookings, Bhatt is responsible for the modernization and continuous improvement of Brookings technology capabilities. Since arriving at Brookings in 2019, Bhatt and his team have executed on five critical objectives, including driving efficiencies through the modernization of Brookings enterprise systems, enhancing the employee experience through digitization, managing risks by enhancing security, and expanding research capabilities through an enhanced data science program.
Prior to joining, Bhatt spent 15 years in strategic technology consulting and was most recently head of innovation and technology strategy at Bloomberg Industry Group where he managed a variety of technology disciplines, including infrastructure and operations, enterprise systems, and technology finance.
Bhatt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in management information systems from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas, Austin.
